About the Owner

I moved to the Boston area from my home country of The Netherlands in 2010. After attending Wheaton College in Illinois, I returned to Boston and spent some time in corporate America working in finance. I realized there that sitting at a desk all day was not the life for me, and also became interested in entrepreneurship. I decided to quit my job and try my hand at the trades. After spending some time framing, deck-building, and tiling, I learned about The Groutsmith franchise. It was exactly the opportunity I was looking for to start my own business.
